Fight For Your Right (Party): A Beastie Boys Tribute Night

Public Works Wed, Dec 17, 2014 8:30 PM

Come exercise your right to party with the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival’s celebration of America’s original Jewish rappers, the Beastie Boys. Featuring live music by the Bay Area’s own Felonious and Jazz Mafia covering some of the Beastie’s biggest hits as well as inspired originals, while DJ Cyclofunk keeps the party going with rare Beastie B-sides, re-mixes, and a bundle of other hip-hop surprises from the 80s and 90s. Landmark Beastie music videos will screen throughout the night featuring early directorial works by Spike Jonze, Tamra Davis, and of course the dearly departed Adam “MCA” Yauch. Put on your best 80s/90s club wear or dress as your favorite Beastie Boy from one of their videos for a chance to win SFJFF tickets and an original painting of the Beasties by local artist Chris Fabbri, whose other painting will be featured.
